Why use Farm-Fresh Eggs?  Aren’t all eggs the same??

Many people have asked me this question over the years, and I can most definitely say ,,NO!  Not all eggs are created Equal!

Eggs produced from free-ranging, pastured chickens are lower in cholesterol, have higher levels of Vitamins B12 and Folic Acid, visibly brighter yolks, and DO TASTE BETTER! As the old saying goes, You are what you eat,  which also applies to Eggs!  They are what the chicken eats!

For example, one such commercial egg layer farm houses 800,000 hens producing around 550,000 eggs per day!  They are fed medicated, formulated feed with lots of additives, preservatives, and growth hormones.  Never having access to fresh green grass or sunlight, overcrowded,  stressed out and over-medicated, these birds produce lots and lots of bland tasting, less nutritious eggs.

Free-Ranging chickens not only have the enjoyment of going where they please, when they please, they also get to eat what they want, when they want.  Campagnola Farms obtains leftover vegetable and compost matter from a number of sites, which are then fed to our animals.  The chickens/pigs pick over the best, leaving the less desirable  items behind as compost.

Also available seasonally are duck, turkey and goose eggs.  They are more difficult to obtain since, as free-ranging animals, they tend to hide their nests more successfully then the chickens.
